Ramen outlets have been springing up everywhere in Singapore but this was the first time I had a black soup based ramen. The black soup base has onions and garlic and made the noodles especially fragrant when eaten. As for the pork belly slices that embellished the dish, they were soft and flavourful.
I also tried the dry tom yum ramen. This was particularly interesting as even through this came without any soup broth, every strand of ramen seemed soaked in the ramen for hours and you can taste the Tom Yum soup oozing from even bite you chew on the ramen. Amazing! However, not all may like this dish as this may be too sourish for some. I like the unique taste though. In fact, the lady next table saw this dish and changed her order upon taking a few glimpses of me savouring the dish!
